I have been trying to get Skies of Arcadia to work with my GDemu board but can't seem to get it running.

I only have a NTSC-U copy (due to VGA mode not being on the PAL version) - my disc 1 is scratched but disc 2 should obviously still load up - so I ripped disc 2 using the SD ripper software.

Disc 2 ripped 100% fine with no errors of anything.

All went ok and put the files into a numbered folder on the SD card, opened the program madsheep made and region patched it to FREE then put the card in the DC GDemu board and on the music player it could identify it was Skies of Arcadia and even played the warning message in Aika and Finas voice so I clicked to start game and it loaded past the boot up screens then crashed!

I tried patching it to PAL and same thing, I tried 2 different downloaded GDI folders and every time it crashes upon start up yet the Dreamcast recognises it as the game under music player.

    Anyone any ideas?

    All files are present:
    disc.gdi
    info
    ip
    track
    track01
    track02.raw
    track03

    ?

ntsc version works fine on my ntsc console with rf bios. track01 and track03 should have .bin file extension. Maybe why they are not working for you.

    mine only have the follwoing:
    disc.gdi
    track01.bin
    track02.raw
    track02.bin

After reading your reply I tried deleting the spare files (track, and ip) and re opened my SD card in madsheeps program, re patched it to FREE and it worked perfectly.

    Thanks!

The reason I didn't think to delete anything first was that all the GDI files that I am using and that work fine (Shenmue 2, Power stone 2, etc etc) all have these spare files - yet they all work fine apart from SOA.

Think I may delete them from all game folders now
