    Hi,

I have a neogeo mvs model mv1f. I make my own supergun. My problem is that the games are too bright on the screen. Anyone could help me??

Are you using a JROK or other RGB-to-NTSC encoder? Or is this a SCART setup?

Check the TV's brightness/contrast settings, check the video encoder if you're using one, check the board's not damaged in any way.

If none of the above help, just grab a JAMMA edge connector and fingerboard and wire it straight-through, except for the video pins - wire the video pins from the edge-connector side to the middle of a 10K potentiometer, then one side of each pot to the video pins on the male side of the connector. Wire the other side of all the potentiometers to video ground. Then all you have to do is use a small screwdriver to adjust the video levels so they look right :)

I did this for use on my System11 and STV boards - works perfectly.

My tv is pal (I forgot to say this, I'm from Spain). And the cables are solderedd directly between the mvs board and the rgb cable.

    I test the potentiometer idea.

In other tv the colors are fine but the screen is a little blurred.

I think my assembly isn't very accurate.

    Thanks

Yes, try some pots. Also check that your switching is done with a resistor to brink the +5V down to between 1 and 3V, or you'll be telling your TV to switch to composite mode! Also check you're using an RGB SCART socket, which I assume you are anyway.

What are you using for a PSU? Is the voltage accurate?

I have the same problem with my ST-V, but oddly not with my MVS, when used on my SCART supergun. By the time I'm courageous enough I might try potentiometers.

That would be because the STV outputs 1Vp-p video and SCART expects 0.7Vp-p, so it gets saturated. Pots are your friends :)
