Hey just a quick thing I was taking appart my Dev Kit to get the deleted data from the HDD and now I wanted to reassamble the xbox and I cant figur out in which oriantation the little Harddrive connector on top of the unit goes in ( Not the sata port or anything but the special Xbox Connector thingy as it hangs loose on there ) With one side Microsoft printed on it and the other not and I really dont want to fry the sidecar its an XDK from 2010
It's a right angle connector. The connector wires are supposed to be facing the center of the console (if it was standing vertically). Putting it in backwards shouldn't damage anything but it will prevent the console from booting until the connector is turned the correct way. Edit: Just checked one of my XDKs, Microsoft logo faces inward.
if you were looking at the console from the front standing vertically the microsoft logo faces the left hand side.
