Hay Guys i am putting to gather a Team for the AVGN The Video Game and I need programers and Artiest and any one knows about Game Development This is for all the Fans I decided to put a team to gather and this post should help with that I am gonna write a script of the game and set up the web site I want this Game to be a beat-em up much with different Characters to select anyone from TGWTG.com like the Nostalgia Critic Linkara Nostalgia Chick Mother Fucker Mike Hansom Tom and of course the Nerd him self The Idea behind this game is to be a game that has the size of a fighting game with a beat-em up style game play with characters to unlock and play. OK here is the story The Nerd Finished doing a review of a very crappy video game (Not ET on Atari) that is actually paced on guest this Battlefield Earth. When the Nerd dose his thing the Earth is Attack from the Physio him self and the game Cartridge broke and released an evil villain from a Classic NES Game and bent on World Domination with them The Bad guy from Battlefield Earth and they also captured most of the Internet Personalities and its up to you and the Nerd to rescue them and each character you save they become unlocked with there special powers and weapons and it can go up to 4 players with the add on controller. Thats the Main plot of the Game who ever is intustred please feel free to drop a line here and some examples of your work and programming skills or art skills and again I want this game to be realsed on Sega master System Genesis NES and SNES and any other systems you think maybe good so hope we can get to work on it soon Later

Why are you targeting so many different and retro consoles? It'd be far easier to make it for PC but with just a retro style seeing as if this does get released a majority of people play it on an emulator anyway.

Also how many people are on your team so far?

No one's going to make a whole game for you. So many people make this stupid attempts to set up a team, thinking that will make it seem like they have any say in anything. IMO the only people ever worthy of officially starting a project and assembling a team is anyone that actually does programming or art.

BTW he's got absolutely no one on his team. I guarantee it. :)

Kinda, but when you see the typical "I have this idea" post and they're basically asking for everyone to make the game for them, you can't help but want to bash them :)

The main Idea behind this is to get people who are fans of the AVGN series and make a game the only think I can do is provide sketches on how the levels are gonna look and how the bad guys and characters will look as well I have very little skill in sprite development Nor Programing for that Matter its who ever likes the Idea and wanna help make it a reality

If you're in a position where you have to say "Well, the only thing I can do...", maybe you should reconsider why you'd be fit as the team leader that starts up any project ever.

Ideas are a dime a dozen, I can throw them out all day, that is not enough to make a game. This is pointless. :stupid:

I think the first thing you should do is to go to an office supply store and get a big old bucket of punctuation marks. :) Reading it makes you sound like you're hyperventilating :)

Christ learn to type in paragraphs, I am a developer but this is way too crazy idea + your typing sounds like you are 12 years old.

Yeah I didn't want to jump to conclusions for the sake of being nice, but there is a lot of evidence that this person is pretty young. Like AVGN can be funny sometimes, but only a child would find it so hilarious that it would seem worth making a game for, I think most adults prefer creativity anyway.

I recently went to a friends house who was cleaning out a closet of old crap. Pulled out a disk of a game he made when he was 10- it was a fairly good rendition of the original Donkey Kong in .exe form.

So do I suggest you do this project? No.
-He made that game through a game design class, with teachers and coders to help him out making it.

Currently, he is working on making a game (Rayman Revenge of the Dark, Google it) and has a small team, but that team was assembled after he made almost all the levels by himself, including the music, characters and animations.

tl;dr start simple and work your way up.

^yeah this seems like a good start

Have you made any artwork or storyline yet? Post it because that would boost the likelihood of people joining your team.

If you want to actually gain any proficiency start with a real programming language.

Like I stated before, Scratch is a great place to start. The community is second to none and it's great support. When you get a taste for it maybe you could move onto something a little more difficult.

Somehow I doubt he actually cares about programming now that he's found an easy way out...

The poor spelling, grammar, punctuation and lack of paragraphs in this post actually made me throw up in my mouth a little bit.

Thats too funny. I guarentee nothing will come of this and once the OP realizes SNES Game Maker is more of an experiment than anything else, he'll be back to square one.
