I've always though about putting together a list of all my stuff so that if I ever kick the bucket early, my wife can get good value for my arcade stuff. =P -edit- It's kind of sad, we lost the creator of "C" programming language recently too.
I thought of doing something similar, but I have a life insurance policy, so I don't need her getting any ideas. Pretty sure the Japanese government doesn't investigate the deaths of foreigners.
I have loads of expensive stuff. I would prefer it to go to family that knows how to use it, or if she does need to sell it - she gets the right price for it. I have seen far too many Widows/etc selling stuff off for next to nothing.
ive already given instructions to the mrs/family to let 2 of my friends take care of all my stuff, keep anything they want but these 2 guys know what my stuff is worth and are capable of selling it in the right places to not get ripped off did once think i wouldn't like all my stuff getting sold off but figured since i would be dead i wouldnt really give a shit, so they can sell it all and spend the money on their hobbies etc unfortunately i am a programmer so the outlook is not good lol
Which is a bummer if they really need the money, but also makes good material for our http://www.assemblergames.com/forums/showthread.php?t=24 thread.
allot of computing stuff dieing right now, i went throw a programmer, graphicscard and printer last month, so im killing technology at nearly the same rate the innovators are dieing(i had a lecture on linux the other day really indepth later that day i get a email from my lecturer saying that the creator had died :/)
The creator of Linux, Linus Torvalds, is very much still alive. I'm guessing you mean the guy who helped create Unix & the programming language C, Dennis Ritchie, who died a couple of weeks back.
