    Hey everyone.
Im trying help a friend here program a 12F629 Pic with MM3 using a Genius G540 universal programmer (Using the new 12f629 mm3 hex). Now im new to programming pics and im not sure if every pic programmer uses its own software or it could use alternative software. My friend of mine tried using ic prog 1.06c with his programmer but it didnt detect it. So i went ahead and been taking info on the settings from jinn's guide over at psx-scene and the settings that icprog makes and try to make the appropriate fuse settings with genius's software but theres a few things im having trouble with. I notice these programs view the address lines quite differently from IC-Prog 1.06C and Genius Programmer 5.00 and its making it hard to find the calib value. For example

    Genius G540's Software.

    Address (Hex)
    00003E0 FF 3F FF 3F FF 3F FF 3F FF 3F FF 3F FF 3F FF 3F
    00003F0 FF 3F FF 3F FF 3F FF 3F FF 3F FF 3F FF 3F FF 3F

    IC Prog 1.06C Software.

    Address (Hex)
    03E0 3FFF 3FFF 3FFF 3FFF 3FFF 3FFF 3FFF 3FFF
    03E8 3FFF 3FFF 3FFF 3FFF 3FFF 3FFF 3FFF 3FFF
    03F0 3FFF 3FFF 3FFF 3FFF 3FFF 3FFF 3FFF 3FFF
    03F8 3FFF 3FFF 3FFF 3FFF 3FFF 3FFF 3FFF 3FFF

is there an alternative setting in the Genius Programmer 5.00 software to view these Address lines differently so i could find the calib value or a way to make the G540 work with ic prog 1.06C?

Also is these fuse settings correct?.

    Thank you.

*Update* We think we found the OSCAL value which we think is "23 24" at Address line "00007F0" so he entered that in the same address line after loading the hex and he recorded the pic and installed it into the psx and he was frozen at this screen. If it booted a backup to this screen i believe the pic was burned correctly?. Maybe it was the media he was using.

    Screenshot PSX.png

"Another update" When he re-read the pic in his software it showed all 0000's pretty much all blank even in the ASCII line and the only thing was left was "24 34"... the suspected OSSCAL value.

    Load File HEX MM3 ( 2334) with GENIUS G540_01.jpg
