Hi, just discovered this site "trough google" and as i think it's no late 1.april joke I'm pretty excited to see this Idea really come alive! I know chances are pretty little but as this community is full of DC Fans and lovers i thought i'll share this with you and hopefully the project gets some more supporters from here as the word is spread! After Shenmue 3 Kickstarter really becoming true this may be the chance for all Sega Nerds to help creating something awesome http://projectdream.co/ What do you think, vote if you like ! If this would become real what's your DC 2 going to be like ? What features would you add ? Bluray ? Some Kinect / Wii / IToy kind of thing ? HDD Included ? Maybe a online game sells only concept so theres no need for Hard Copy Production ? Backward compatible ? Controller Design? P.S. used the search function and couldn't find a topic on that hope the Category is also right ... greets
I stopped reading the updates, but I signed this project a long-ass time ago. The idea is nice, the progress is questionable, the response from SEGA is as one would expect, and the fact they're even going to use android concerns me. There's potential, but it's hard to say how much.
I'll never say never, but it's very unlikely Sega will ever get back into the home console market. It pains me to say that because I'm all for DC2.
I don't think this is gonna happen. It's not like Sega has the funds to make this a reality, regardless of how many signatures they get. It's a great thought, and I wish it could happen, but they would need some really hefty investors to make that happen.
Lets all not forget that the SEGA that exists now is not the same one that we all remember from the 90's
While it would be amazing for SEGA to reenter the console market I feel this will likely fail. It has great ideas/concepts but like many others commented SEGA just isn't the SEGA we remember from our childhood. It's a skeleton of a company now and barely clings onto life. Saying that I love some of the UI/GUI concepts these guys have made. Old UI, New one,
