In the United States you can get a Consealed Carry Weapons Permit. This allows you to carry a handgun. Handgun > Big People. Esspecially cause you could carry a Large Calibre Handgun like a .357 magnum, .45, or even .50ae.

I'm gonna probably camp out for the Wii launch. I live in a good area and am not worried. But in NYC I'd be worried.

I wouldn't try this within 900 metres of the black market.

Then again, I remember they got the N64 two days after its japanese release, and nobody was able to afford buying it. It was just to show off, and believe you me, it was impressive.

If I have the time, I'll take a trip there this friday. I'm sure they already have the PS3.

(Edit... For about 12,000 pesos / 1,100 dollars)

Ehm...although this would be a truly "convicingly" method, its a bit too pointy, in that you'll get in the center of attention in like a few seconds... bodyguards are way more discrete methinks. And, of course, they can have .50ae's as well

I WAS there yesterday (monday) for around 5 hours. By 9 the line was practically full, even in the pouring rain. There were already people pushing and fighting ahead of me. People trying to jump the line, people holding spots, alot of BS. I kind of stopped caring after the true realization that waiting 80+ hours didn't guarantee me one.

On the other hand, violent crime is not a big problem in NYC. Compare it to other American cities, it is way down on the list.

How's that? It's called Consealed Carry for a reason. It's illegal to brandish a firearm. They'll never know you have it until they are lieing there bleeding on the ground.

    Update:

We planned to arrive some 24 hours before the sale. We wound up switching to target stores, because the circuit city had about a thousand people on line.

We were told no lining up until 10pm of the day before the sale.

Let's just say no one was enforcing, there were tents and people had
    been there for days. DAYS.

So instead we went on to porject "Drink until you have to wee wee",
    and hit the pub.

I really am truly happy that someone else in here also decided to hit up the bars and have some fun rather than wait around in line. Cheers pub:

Ya, you know I don't think either system is all it's hyped up to be. Might at well wait a year before bothering with them.

How about those of us who just drank in line?

Or in my case....drank whilst hiding in the woods while trying to escape the Fairfax County PD who was enforcing "no trespassing" near the Sony Store, lolz.

It's hard to sneak through the underbrush with one of those huge bottles of Geikeikan.

I don't know about you, but drinking beer with friends is nothing like drinking beer with potato chips:lol:

To be honest though, drinking alone is kind of sad, I don't recommend it:nod:

Yeah, charging someone $1000 for a PS3 isn't being overly greedy at all...
