Shen-Mew Shen pronounced as seen, and Mew like the pokemon. Is there a video of the creator pronouncing it?
The title in Japanese is シェンムー (Shenmū[SUP][/SUP]), which in English terms would be pronounced Shen-moo. Dunno why anyone's still debating this.
Don't we have enough posts now saying that it is "Shen-moo"??? That's like asking "What's the square root of 36" and people keep posting "6" for 3 days until there are 50 replies. At this point I wanna cite myself again cause nobody ever seemed to notice what I wrote I think it's an interesting approach because Shenmue in Japanese is just a Katakana-word, meaning that it's not Japanese. So the original "Shenmue" should be in Chinese cause it's the name of a tree in China (as seen in Shenmue 2). If you translate 莎木 with google to English, it also gives you "Shenmue" and not Shamu or anything. So the actual NAME of Shenmue (not pronunciation) would really be Shāmù?? Cause that's the name the Katakana was supposed to represent? This would mean that Shenmue is nothing but the "Cologne" bastardization of the real name, which is Shamu (or Köln for that matter)??? Come on, discuss!! One more "Shen-Moo. Like SHEN and MOO."-reply and I'll start one of these popular banning polls. Lol
Shenmoo, i heard someone call it "Shen-mooie" years ago got a phone call from my Dad, he was at target and they were closing out dreamcast games, $10.00 and they he bought me Sham-mu ( I don't know sega had a whale game)
