Proper wire to use for console modifications

    Is there any downsides to using 30 awg kynar wire for everything? I'm going to be doing a bunch of stuff to my geneisis and wasn't sure about the wire.

    If you are using current beyond 12volts it might be a fire hazard because of how thin the wire is. Other than that its great.

    Can someone tell me where to find the S-video jack with mount?

    Amps is what you will be most worried about, with experience you will be able to gauge (get it :p) what thickness and type of wire to use.
    Because you already have knyar, I suggest you buy a 'hobbie' bulk pack of various wires to get you started.

    Awg30 is only good for like 0.15 amps. Don't use it for power.
