at my game store, we got a guy that traded a couple boxes of psx stuff today. mostly crap, but this was at the bottom of one of the boxes: he was already gone before i noticed it, so i didnt get to ask him what is was. its says 'ps-056' on the bottom, that pic didnt quite turn out. i booted it up on my chipped ps1 and it runs like crap, appears much darker then the original 'time to kill' which is the only thing that leads towards proto, otherwise is looks boot leg as hell. well either way it thought it was interesting, dont get much stuff like that at my store.
I'm gonna lean towards hong kong bootleg... Proto's almost never get stamped, and that disk art obviously ain't right.
Yep its used because what they do is have a catalog with the covers of games. They can then pull it out using the numbering scheme from a big suitcase or draw.
yeah, most signs pointed to bootleg. i did a side by side comparison with that and the official time to kill (picture in picture tv and 2 psxs) and the bootleg is darker and runs slower. least they could do is pirate a decent version.
