Just a small video with some of the interesting things on it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MlA56tP28LA
Hmm, main differences I saw was the ability to turn off the alert and AI, different music (from the sound of it), missing music in some parts, the ability to run around with the Nikita. What is the bar at the bottom that appears, though? Have you found anything else interesting, such as Psycho Mantis or other differences?
I hardly played it but the description on youtube has some info. Thats all the things I've spotted that were different. Also, I thought you could always run with the Nikita in Twin Snakes? No idea what the bar's are at the bottom but they activate infinite health. I first thought they were some kinda color space refrence but Im not sure thats the case.
Nope, I remember not being able to run while using the Nikita (In targeting mode). ..Wait, did you launch the Nikita as soon as you activated it? It looks like you were running with it in targeting mode for a few seconds before activating it.
No, I fired it and it hit someone then I walked away (which is where the video picks up) About the only thing different in this is gonna be the various debug menu stuff since IIRC this was released very close to the final release.
Ah, I see. I asked because there was a Action Replay code that allowed movement while in First Person. I thought there may have been a option to turn it on (or if it was always turned on in the Debug version). What about torture and some of the other stuff? Anything different in the codec screen? Map? Edit: It also still has the 2003 screen active. Granted, they could have changed it last, although I remember there being a few beta screenshots a while back that showed it in Debug mode. Do you know what build it is?
I only listed what I found to be different but its been a while since I played TS. I dont have time currently to go through it looking for differences though.
Doesnt seem to be much difference. I can screw the game up though. Since I have all items I can go into places Im not supposed to be and in effect advance the games plot way beyond where it should be . I found two more options on the main menu, They are to unlock Otacon and Meryl's alternate costumes for the demo theatre  I might have to go through this a bit, the seller let me know it wasnt even close to the release date.
If there is one thing I am curious about, it is how the game looked in earlier shots. It had a higher contrast and looked a bit brighter. From the looks of it, though, it is very similar (Although it may be me, the camera looks different in some areas). I think if there is a difference, it may be the small things (Like the object hovering in REX's Hangar for no reason). What about Psycho Mantis? Was everything in place for his battle? I think I remember seeing some differences in his pictures. EDIT: Found it! These seem to be some beta pictures that might be of interest: It is in Debug, and has some differences in Mantis's room (Namely the pictures), it also looks a bit brighter. I'll look and see if there are any other major pictures that may clue us in. Also, is Johnny censored in this version? Wolf's hair also looks a bit different in the Beta shots as well (or it could be a bad angle...) EDIT 2: While we are on the subject of possible changes, one I just discovered in the beginning from a beta shot: The crate on the right is far less detailed in the retail game, with less planks of wood. Is it any different in your game?
Ill check those out when I get off work, But it seems this is the version I got, as they have 999 bullets (which is what mine can get). Mine was also one of those sent off to the press to write guides/get a preview. Haha, Yes XD
