prototype Playstation Controller

Just as the PS1 was being dropped, in my area there was a massive increase of knock off memory cards and controllers, only identifiable by a hint of just doesn't look right when compared to the real deal. Those b*****ds will fake everything, I'm sure someone has faked Mario/Duck Hunt. That said why fake a mockup except to rip off a collector? I seriously doubt a one off fake would be made that well.
