I managed to acquire a "Prototype" PS3 controller, I use quotes as the bottom of the pad says "For evaluation use" amongst other things. The only four things I notice that are different are...

The model number is different (will remember it tomorrow..)
The plastic is smoother and shinier
The pad doesn't have 'Sixaxis' printed on it
The USB logo is smaller then the released ones

Apart from that, that is all the difference, so anyone else got one (ie debug machines, demo units, etc).

I thought this was gonna be the infamous "boomerang" when I read the topic title.

Anyway it'd be really interesting to know the date on this and whether or not it has the motion sensors.

I thought it was a boomerang too. Does anyone have one of those? I wonder if they worked good at all, even though they looked wierd. I liked the big Xbox pad for some games, maybe it was like that.
