It's a dummy display console, its just blinking lights and USB ports to light up the controllers

It's a dummy system. It's shown off to look good and nothing more. It would be on display at most so maybe like a trade show for lowering costs to display it.

That and a few have shown up on ebay

 

After random searching the internet for days.. i came upon a twitter feed with a ps4 pro kiosk unit!

I would to know are these in the wild yet? Also still in my area most kiosk units...maybe a refresh with ps4 pro is coming.

 

It's just a retail unit with a set of flags set by either sony or IDU disc.

 

Indeed, Very similiar to the PSVita Kiosk Units Its probably way easier that way than making separate kiosk hardware than back in the day.

Although this one time, I ran into a PSPgo Kiosk at best buy with a strange firmware version of like 5.50 xyz(numbers). It was pretty weird o.o

I dont know PSP enough but im sure it was similar to PS3

 

So there isnt anything special about these units?

 

They're special in that they're dummy boards and only these have them, so they're worth collecting for that alone as a novelty.
