    Ohh I see, maybe they were using the term PDA to enforce the idea that they weren't trying to make a Game Gear 2? While still giving a general idea of what the device will kind of be like. The joys of link cables and infrared connections, seems a likely source of inspiration. I think some Tamagotchi's or Tamagotchi derivatives also started to have device to device connectivity in 1997? None of these things are developed in a vacuum.

    VMU is a pretty apt name, interesting that they didn't have the name decided at first or maybe they were just saving to release that information upon the Dreamcasts release? Thanks for the translation, there are all of 3 Kanji that I can read :p

    The PlayStation Move vs Wii motes would fail that test, Sony were talking about that during the PS2 eyetoy days.
