    Wii コントローラーの試作品
    Wii Controller Prototypes.

Too much Kanji in the rest of it... Something like "Many prototypes were built until the final controller was decided upon. What's in the pictures are just a few of them. Then they were sent through a 'sampling program'????"

Yes, that is pretty standard R&D. They select a group of people at random from a broad range demographic and ask them a bunch of questions concerning the shape, size, weight, texture, ease of use, etc. All this gets analysed and helps the company decide on the right design to go into production.

the far right one is a shell, not a controller. I had seen it before, as well as the far left one . the top and the star..just wow:D. The top is for virtual console I think, before they finalized the classic pad

Perhaps the orange star one, was gonna be like a stylus pad because they thought of doing something like the nintendo DS. What else could it be?

I'm glad they didn't go with that Star controller. That one just screams "Baby's Toy" to me, and the Orange color isn't helping things either.

I like the black one on the upper right. It reminds me the Negcon controller.

I imagine that was supposed to be used when you had the left part of the controller flipped the other way...with the control pad to the back...

I'll take a wild guess and say...theres maybe an analog stick on the other side of that part.

"Many tens". We don't say it in English, so sounds kind of weird. Definitely more than "several".
