Whats the deal with that PS One clone on the market. Seen a few threads over various forums but no in depth look at the thing. I take it SD card and USB loading only. Anyone got one - able to give an observation? Seen two models so far the branded version is the RX PS One. DX sells both but too much for me to gamble on, however another vendor NH-Game sell at a much better price. DX video shows the machine in action. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nqlknL9P4SI&feature=channel_video_title
Highly misleading. It's just one of those cheap "mp4 players" in the shape of a PS-One case. It doesn't even have a disc drive. Has there ever been a real PS1 hardware clone?
No. This has been discussed on another forum and I looked into the file structures... The games are '32 bit P series game simulation' what ever the hell that means... http://forums.benheck.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=42798
It means you load an emulator onto the unit and it will run all PSX games with varying degrees of success. If you check the feedback replies on the DX page it does tell you this, even gives you a link to the emulator you need to install.
Thanks for the information guys you saved me some hard earned. My interest in this device drifts away.
wow the video broke my mind while im still half asleep..... i dont ever remember playing my ps1 like that :/
hahahaha! But it is true, it is pretty crappy. Typical Chinese stuff, as with the menu Sounds pretty cool and all at first, and it would have been tricky to make it emulate, but then again, its just not worth buying...
Gah! I'm blind! Another MP4 piece of crap. With all due respect, you can go out and get a mini net-top PC from Foxxcon and you'll do everything this does, except better. Waaaaay better.
