As it's region free, I wanna see if I can nab one of these before Christmas from Japan. Is anyone importing them aswell and via what site? I've heard http://www.shopncsx.com/ are pretty good. Play-Asia won't ship to Europe/USA.
I buy from NCS all the time. They really knowledgeable about imports and have a vast network of JPN-region wholesalers and retailers they rely on. One thing that always impressed me is that they were willing to pass on items that they knew were stinkers, or that they didn't think matched with their market well. Back in the day, they were *the* people to get PC-Engine and Saturn stuff from.
Yeah, same problem here. Want to import a Vita (actually two, another one for a buddy) + WO2048 when it's released in JP coz I don't wanna wait till it's released here in Germany.... Looking for good options to import one
I really doubt this, but possibly a Japanese member here could buy a few and send them out to us via express airmail?
I'm debating importing one, especially since there is no release date for US which could mean anytime in 2012. Play Asia has it listed as "reservation list" only and no price. Not willing to order until there is a definite price yet (I guess I could always cancel but still..)
The problem with a member in Japan buying it is that we wouldn't be able to sell it cheaper than a mail order store plus it's a pain in the arse. Commission would be quite high on such a high profile items as well. Yakumo
Also, you will need to lie about what the item is. You can't ship lithium batteries via Japan Post. If you pack it in a small package and mark it as books, you've got a chance. If you mark it has "Game (no batteries)" they will likely run it through the X-ray machine. They don't refund the shipping either.
Don't import guys. It will be an over priced waste. Hell even i'm passing on it. They will hit USA/Euro sometime end Feb/early March. If you still won't listen to me (trust me, I know a lot on vita), Then at least use buygame2.com to import form. They're a shop in HK, are great people and 90% of the time are always cheaper then Play-Asia/YesAsia/NCSX/etc. Plus they will gladly ship to Europe. I've used them for years and even have imported stupidly expensive things.
Thats two months more wait.... oh the pain.... Also EU release might not have 1.000 FW on it.... *1.000wants* So, what else do you know about the Vita, please do tell Wii-Ta, hehee xD
I'll never understand being an early adopter so early the thing isn't even officially available in your region, let alone with more killer apps than I have fingers (yes smartass I have 10).
I really want a Vita and all, but I'm sure postage will just kill the price for one. Wouldn't all games be in Japanese anyway? Unless you can read and understand Japanese it wouldn't be worth it.
Good chance Euro/USA will still be 1.0. Even still, if not the case if you wait out 1-3 months the price will be more reasonable then being a day one adopter. As for your other question...:fresh:
