I hope it was broken or an empty shell before doing this. Otherwise that's cool.

Next step: LCD atomic clock made from an Arduino and stuff.

It was indeed. Would never ruin a perfectly good PS1 just to make a clock.

Would go nicely on the wall of a retro games room

I like it, but I feel that some kind of a LED lighting scheme would've been cool.

I've always had serious issues with reading analog clocks

I really like the idea of this mod, it's simple and it looks pretty good too. I have a few broken Saturns I'm now considering doing this to :) I like analog clocks but only the silent kind. The "tick-tack" sound makes me insane :)

It's a nice smooth sweep second hand motion :)

I hate the ticking kind too.

I'm not a fan of the pad buttons stuck to the face on that one. In my opinion, it ruins it.

I am making another so this one is on ebay :)

That is a fantastic idea for consoles that have passed on!
Might find one of the many PS1s I have is irreparably broken! :friendly_wink:
Walks outside slowly with a shot gun and a PS1...

1st model Mega Drive would be next if I can find an old busted one. I'm looking at consoles that have that circular face on them. Dreamcast would also work well.

I know a few people have suggested digital but I'm really not a fan of those. They have a cheap look and wouldn't suit this kind of console. However, I do think Master System or 2600 would look good with a digital display.

So, you drilled a hole in the lid and tightened up a nut. I dont see

Also, the person selling them on etsy is a genius, as this is about £5 in parts.

I'm an analog sort of guy in a digital world. The beauty of it is how simplistic it is! :encouragement:

That's all it needed. It's cheap, looks good, and puts a case I had no need for to some use.
It would go nicely on a retro gamers wall. Doesn't really go with my decor so I chucked it on ebay starting at 99p. I'm not looking to charge some poor sod silly money for something that 'as you said' can be knocked up in a few minutes for less than a fiver.

I hope the Viking (here in Denmark) can help you guys learn how to read an analogue clock/watch.
And have fun figuring 24 hour time out, if you are not in the military. And if you have trouble, then I believe either bearking (Hi fellow Dane !) or me. Can help you.
