PS1 Dev Review/Beta Discs - Crash, Time Crisis, Coll Boarders + More

Hi Everyone,

Iv'e come across a batch of PS1 Dev Discs, they are in a variety of stages of dev but most seem to be slightly later on. If someone can help me figure out how I can find the date the discs were burnt that would be a huge help.

Im looking to sell these on a for sale thread on here but would like some ideas of prices for these discs if possible please.

I have tested them and can provide further info on each one if needed.

Also have a PS1 Retailers Promo VHS if anyone can help.

Some discs say 'reviewable' some other don't, are they all full games or... ? (excuse-me for that noob question but...)
Could you also please let us know if these discs are multi 5 Europe (english, french, spanish, german, italian) or UK only ?

Most the games are very late versions that are pretty much looking to be the full, or very full games. Some have very different things in them, some have some very subtle changes in them. The RED/GREEN discs appear to be more DEMO version betas than the others but I havnt been able to test fully. From the ones I have played recently I cant see many language options. All are in English so far but some such as time crisis have language select options. Time crisis also has a debug menu when you start it up but again iv'e not played with this fully.

Ive tested these on a chipped ps1 so not sure if using an actual debug unit would give any other options, its my understanding it wouldn't change anything but I cant say for sure. ( dont worry about the noob question mate, im in the same boat!)

 

I might have been interested by Broken Sword 2 in the case french would have been available from any options menu, depending on condition & price of course. But unfortunately, if the game is in english only, I can't really enjoy it, my english is not good enough...
I hope that skilled members reading this will confirm but I would say that playing the disc from a debug unit won't give you any further features, unless you use it to change the code ! ;-)
I'm sorry that I can't help you with prices, never seen these discs before !... I'm going to watch your thread to learn a bit more about this !

Cool Boarders and Bushido Blade? Nice. I'd pay a lot of money for that, but I don't have the experience to give an accurate price check

 

Hey, that would be nice from you to have a look at this Broken Sword disc and see if a french option does exist. I'm now beginning to get worried about prices after I read InnocentSam !...
I would be happy to read someone who has got discs like these talking about prices he had to pay to get them.

 

Hi, just tested the disc. Doesn't seem to be any language options on the disc im afraid.
