I have Biohazard the directors cut and Dino Crisis on my PS3s hard drive and I noticed the other day that you could put them on your PSP so I thought great this would be sweet but then I remembered that my PSP has OE firmware (3.03B I think). This is when I ran in to problem because it keeps saying on the PS3 (but doesn't say which firmware) to update my PSPs firmware but I'm not sure if it will work with OE or maybe I just have to update to 3.40OE?

Thanks for the tip I will do that but I hear that 3.40 is a bit unstable is this true? Also can I just update from 3.03B to 3.40 or will I need to do an update in between? thanks

I second that no problems with 3.40OE, with that now I can now some solid shooters on it, Thunder Force V and Einhander to name a few.

It's too bad that Sony doesn't have plans for PSX to PSP conversion tool to allow emulation on the official firmware. We paid the license once why pay again for the same game, especially when the line-up proposed is so poor...

If you convert PSX game it is best to use NTSC version as PAL ones always screen positioning problems (my experience).

    Have fun

AFAIK you'll have to use the recovery menu to go back to 1.50 and then upgrade to 3.40OE.

    Fyi your fucked.

OE firmware is not compatible with Ps1 downloads from the ps3. Mathiue and D_A know 3.40 is not compatible with the new system sony uses on ps1 downloads. :(

Your best bet sadly is pirating ps1 games that you purchased on the ps3. Also even tho you go the bad route, you can still transfer saves from the psp & ps3 back and forth.

    Thirded...

Im on 3.40-a OE and have had no problems yet, and you get all the functions of the new firmware (aside from the PS3 functionality, obviously)

Any of you guys tried Resident Evil 3? Does yours also crash after the vaccine, when trying to go back to the hospital?
