Hi, does anyone happen to have MM2.X hex for USA,JAP,PAL consoles?. I've been doing some googling and have yet to come across it. *Edit* Found at eurasia... -_- didnt think of it at first *Face palm*. *Edit 2* To avoid posting another thread, I dont know if it matters or not but which one should be used nowadays 2.01 or 2.02?. im not sure if 12C508A chips are still affected with the slow running oscillators or if they've been fixed. Version 2.01 17/9/99 New in Version 2.01 Added Chip disable (Hold reset for 3 seconds) Added Selectable 4 wire mode ( Hold reset for another 3 seconds) Added User Selectable "Dino Modes" (Hold reset for another 3 seconds then each time you press reset for 1 second then you change "dino Mode" ... 255 modes available BUT only the first 10 or 20 will work ... this depends on your console .... Version 2.01 was originally clased as a beta but has proved reliable. Version 2.02 ****BETA ONLY****** 29/11/99 New in version 2.02 ... A few people have reported problems with some batches of the 12c50xA chips .. this is because these batches have slow running oscillators (3.8-3.9Mhz rather than 4Mhz) to fix this we have increased the speed of the code in 2.02 beta ... it has had very limited testing and should really only be used if you have problems with the bad A version chips .... we currently have no information on which batches are affected but they seem to be early 99 chips ..
Why do you specifically need MM2? I have the MM3 hexes and diagrams on my PC at home, I can dig them up for you this evening. I understand MM3 was the best hex. It worked for me, at least.
I was looking for the MM2 hex for specifically the scph-100x series as the MM3 hex is not capable of providing any sort of stealth on a SCPH-100x. From what i hear MM2 is better than the stealth 2.8a hex so i wanted to test it. I have the MM3 hex for 12C508 and the ported 12F629 version and diagrams.
Nowdays microchip has fixed the issue. The problem was only on the early 1999 batch pic chip. Using 12F50X you have no problem. Btw use the mayumi V1 hex. It's the same of the mm 2.1 but it's not a beta code
Thank you master991 Would have the mayumi v1 hex by any chance? i'm having difficulty finding this hex using google.
It would be interesting if it works, as I cant get 12c chips any more and desperately need them for Cumsoft laser fixes on pstwo scph-7004
master991 has apparently had success. Me and Jinn have not though. Would be nice to get them to work though, I can get them much cheaper.
RS has them in stock will pick a few up on monday and give them ago, there like R7 here so about $0,78 Like I said before I mainly want them for cumsoft but will test both
I swear Bad, i've used F pic without any problems I don't know why you have problems with this replacement. Maybe programmer?
I dont think its the programmer. I have this: http://www.dataman.com/programmers/universal/dataman-48pro-universal-isp-programmer.html
I use original pic programmer. Really I don't know where's the problem. Only few times i've had problems with "please insert playstation disc" but i've resolved with decoupling cap (although sometimes the boot one time on 100 fails the same , maybe a "fuzzy" batch of the pic?).
I tried with a cap. Dont suppose you want to help me test something? You send me a pic of yours programmed (I will of course pay and cover shipping). I will also send you one of my chips for you to test. Would like to get to the bottom of it - the F chips are much cheaper.
