I want to purchase a mod chip for a ps1 model scph-7501 to play NTSC game back ups and would be cool to play PAL backups as well. Not sure which chip I should be wanting but MM3 and stealth VII seems to be popular. I can solder but prefer a chip with 8 output board to make soldering easier, (SOIC-8 to DIP-8 PCB). Not sure what else is needed.

Look in the marketplace. There are two big threads with modchips for sale - Zer0-2k11 in Canada and Bad_Ad84 in the UK.
