So I got thse from a member here jinn and when my HDD died so did his pictures he sent me. I was hoping someone could help me find the right diagram for them. I would like the all but i need 1001, 7501, 9001, and 101 diagrams for sure. The chips are MM3 flashed as I am sure that would help (duh!) and here is what they look like.

Thanks for that, I hope this one works as the last one didn't but I have faith in your modding capabilities so I think we can consider this squashed.

If you have trouble once you install the chips (discs not working) solder a 100nf capacitor between pin 1 and 8 (square top left and then the top right is pins 1 and 8 respectively)

I find it helps on temperamental ones.

Maybe not but it is the only ones I have at my disposal and I am doing these installs for free so they should not be to picky about a free install.

    Pin 2 on MM3 chip

Hi, I've been looking online for installation diagrams for the MM3 chip on models SCPH 7502 and SCPH 1002 and in all diagrams I see points to solder 1,3,4,5,6,7,8; so it appears to me that pin 2 doesn't have to be wired - solder to any point on the mobo, is that correct or I'm missing something here? Thanks.

Pin 2 shouldn't be connected to any part of the PS1 motherboard... It's normal for pin 2 to not be connected anywhere on the board.

Hi, I'm having this issue with an mm3 on a SCPH 7502, I don't have a 100nf capacitor, I do have however a 10 μF at hand, would this work? Any other suggestions?

    Thanks.

Probably not. The capacitance of the 10μF is 100 times bigger!

Different value capacitors filter different frequencies. A 10μF is going to be too big and charge too slowly to have the right effect.

Hi I have a SCPH-9001 with a PU23 mother board and am trying to put a MM3 (USA) from EurAsia. I have tried both diagrams on their website and neither make the thing able to boot backups. The first picture is the 2004 pictures and the second is the 2008 picture. The last picture is one I found that said to put the 2nd pin somewhere.

When I added the 2nd pin the console loaded a backup once, so I thought i had got it to work but once I put it back together it wouldn't read backups once again. I have also tried adding the 0.1uf capacitor to pins 1 and 8 and still nothing seems to get the thing to work.

Another thing is that the system will play my normal games just fine and can't play backups.

You are not the first person to have issues with eurasia chips. People have bought them from me after having issues and had no problem.

There is no point 2 for mm3. So the one without it
