Hello. Fired up the PS1 for the first time in a long time. I was checking to make sure a multitap I had bought for it worked. It seems to be working. However, I hooked up 4 ps2 controllers as they do work on the ps1. But with all 4 controllers plugged in there is input lag. If I put only one controller in it seems to go away. Could this be the ps1 not putting out enough power for ps2 controllers? Ive also noticed the image on the tv is starting to flicker sometime. Could my ps1 just be going bad? Thanks for any insight anyone can offer.

UPDATE: So I just plugged the one ps1 controller I have into the first controller port. Screen did not flicker at all then. Plugged in the multitap and plugged the ps1 controller into it. Still no flicker of the image. So it sounds like the ps2 controllers DO suck too much power. So much for SONY saying PS2 controllers are compatible with PS1 consoles. I guess I'm gonna have to get more ps1 controllers. I was hoping I could just use my PS2 controllers but that doesn't seem like it's going to work. Surely 4 PS1 controllers won't be too much on it?

Afaik the motors inside the dual shock 2 draw more power from the controller port.
