That all started, when i saw posts like this on forums: source: https://www.assemblergames.com/forums/showthread.php?51120-Russian-PSX-Beta-s-Explanation I was interested and i started to search for a proof. I was able to find only four games, they was fully on Russian language and wasn't bootleg. Some of them even have their own Sony ID, that mean they wasn't available outside of Russia (or outside of the countries of the former USSR, does not include any other languages on the disk), that's why people suggest, that this version isn't exist officially, but they are. Most games was translated on Russian by "SoftClub/1C Company" (wiki: One of the largest independent Russian software developers and publishers. 1C is also a leader in localizing and publishing Russian-language versions of international software.) One of the problems is, that SoftClub website does not contain PlayStation 1 games in the catalog, but they have PlayStation 2 games in it. You can also decrypt the barcode on the scanned pictures for acquire more proof. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1C_Company http://www.softclub.ru/ C-12: Final Resistance (SCES-03426) by SoftClub text and sound info: no redump link http://rgdb.info/base/rus-00618 PDF manual: https://mega.co.nz/#!DdF3FIhC!2wYsBzUIFcS6zwwDT9R0imx1vbZ1-gMOUQCgI9tzgkI Covers: In-game screenshots: Medievil 2 (SCES-02546) by SoftClub text and sound info: http://redump.org/disc/2625/ http://rgdb.info/base/rus-00758 PDF manual: https://www.mediafire.com/?b2o71cj83lr861k Covers: In-game screenshots: Formula One 2001 (SCES-03524) by SoftClub text and sound info: http://redump.org/disc/5249/ http://rgdb.info/base/rus-02169 PDF manual: https://www.mediafire.com/?l18eqdm5l3afz1t Covers: In-game screenshots: Return Fire (SLES-00177) by unknown, was published in multiple countries only text info: http://redump.org/disc/6790/ http://rgdb.info/base/rus-00430 PDF manual: none Covers (wasn't translated): In-game screenshots: Plus some photos: --- Also interesting research. Deep into any of the PS1 bios files (even Japanese or North American region) we can find fully correct set of the Russian alphabet/Cyrillic script in it. This font wasn't used in the bios GUI or in anything like that, but some games give you access to it. One of that games is "Logic Puzzle Rainbow Town [SLPS-00268]", it's can give us full access directly to the system fonts: I'll post more info about differences between bootleg Russian translation and official translation later. If you know more officially localized PS1 games on Russian language, let me know i'll document that (make sure, that it's not bootleg in advance). Thanks to all the people, which uploaded the pictures and disk data on redump. That's pretty cool, never knew about this, now I need to find some of those games for my collection....
If I remember correctly, was another game that has been released officially in Russia. It was called "In Cold Blood." The game was released on two discs and had a partial translation into Russian (cover, menu, etc.). I'll have to look for - somewhere I have it lying around ...
So, I found this game. "In Cold Blood" - Sony Id - SCES-02149-RUS. The game is officially released SCEE in 2000 on 2 discs. In Covers written: Not licensed for sale in the EU. For sale in the Commonwealth of Independent States only (former Soviet Union). Translated into Russian only cover box and games manual. Inside the gameplay all in English.
