Can someone recommend a good PS1/PS2 Arcade Stick and a good PS1/PS2 Steering wheel? I have Namco Museum Vol. 3 and after just playing Ms. Pac-Man and Dig Dug with a partially broken PS2 Dualshock 2 controller, I really need something more precise for arcade games. I also have Gran Turismo 2 and would like a good steering wheel as both of mine are not working perfectly anymore. Any help would be highly appreciated!
I have a Namco PlayStation PS1 arcade stick that is well made and it's a decent stick, also compatible with PS2. There's a couple out on eBay. Dark grey with yellow stick and buttons. I'd provide links, but I'm on my phone. As for a wheel ... sorry, can't recommend one. Hopefully some one else can. HORI makes very good arcade sticks. I have a couple for my SUPERGUN ... ported for NEO GEO. HORI did make sticks for the PS1. Some on eBay as well.
I just checked eBay and they seem to be pricey. I found an Asciiware PlayStation stick for much cheaper but I can't afford it atm.
you wanted a good one, not a cheap one. I'd also recommend the namco stick, it's components mimic the seimitsu/sanwa sticks, although cheaper in quality.
I have an awesome PS2 stick that I bought recently, but I don't remember the brand. I'll report once I get back home. Good cheap PS2/PS3/360/PC ones are also sold by Acteck (of which I own two) in Mexico. http://articulo.mercadolibre.com.mx...rcade-souji-100-para-ps3-ps2-xbox360-y-pc-_JM These are common, cheap, and rather comfortable, but sometimes a bitch to get recognised by the system. Maybe you can import from Mexico?
A good arcade stick will run you $50 - $100. It pays to keep an eye out for bargains regarding these things. Shoryuken has a ton of information on how to get one for cheap. If you manage to get a Street Fighter Arcade stick, but it only works via USB, you can swap out parts with this handy pcb: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Zero-Delay-...k-for-Arcade-Game-Controls-2pin-/171018138307
Thank you for an amazon link, eBay had some crazy prices. I still can't afford it atm. When I have enough money, I will get it.
I like the MadCatz MC2 wheel as far as steering wheels go. http://www.amazon.com/Mad-Catz-Univ...F8&qid=1426789890&sr=8-2&keywords=madcatz+mc2
The PS2 arcade stick I have at home is actually a PSX arcade stick, called "PS Arcade", by Interact. It's this one on the link: http://cdn23.atwikiimg.com/ac_stick/?plugin=ref&serial=589 I find it very comfortable and clicky enough. At least, I can play R-Type Final and other shooters and fighting games without much problem (though getting some of the moves on Hokuto no Ken is a bit harder than I'm used to - and I keep getting my arse handed to me on Melty Blood. I won't blame the stick; I'm getting old)
