Today I noticed on the SCPH-9002 motherboard there is is a formation of solder pads that look like jumpers labelled J U E G

I'm assuming they mean Japan USA Europe? Not sure about the G!

On my console the E (which is UK PAL) is bridged.

Does anybody know what this is actually for? Surely its not an ultra easy way to import mod the PS1 for originals?

I was just curious anyway, and thought I would ask.

It's located at the top edge of the board, just to the right of the MULTI-AV out.

Sorry for the lack of image, I'm having trouble uploading an image :/

    Thanks for any info!

The jumper doesnt actually connect to anything. Its just for identification.
