My only query on a thread I am sure I'd like to contribute to and use on a subject I am fascinated by, would be, why in 0th bit where it's only of use to specific AG members and not listed in the general Sony dev area? I assume you are just detailing material and not making available anything via link?

As soon as stuff should be made available, the link will be posted in here. That's the purpose of the 0th bit download section - not only files only for members but "restricted audience" files, that is grey-area stuff (as in between legal & not). At least thats my viewpoint.

The "PsyQ PSX Devkit Complete DOC" is the same thing as the TechRef 1.8 CD.

OK, was just wondering whether you were going to simply 'list' what was produced by Sony or 3rd party developers. Thanks! ;-)

Theres also a v2.3 tech reference/programmer tool set. If I remember correctly the difference is there are a few more docs along with updated docs, and the programmer disc comes with a newer runtime library (v4.4).

There is at least v4.7 of the documentation. Although it's possible they didn't release that on cd.

there are several volumes and if you would extract a file that has a tail in the next one - you should have next volume or will get the problem :)

if more problems will occure - pls , show log info from .rar that will help a lot to point for the exact solution...

hope it will clear the story

Thanks guys. Is there an AG group especially for PS1 development? I'd be interested to know.

No, there isn't. I tried to sell the boards and no one is familiar with them.

I am basically building turn-key psone dev kits now, and will be putting them on ebay.

Strangely enough there is not much I can find about PS1 homebrew. But there is a Danish Sega Saturn homebrew site which was mentioned wikipedia, and I was surpriced I must say.

Sounds intriguing. Will you be offering them in the AG marketplace first?

Yes, here first. I have almost forty psone dev setups.

I think we can make a strong development community.
Psone is a very friendly machine.

I have to make up video out cables for them, I have the pinouts
so if anyone knows of any place to get cheap 9 pin vga style connectors,
    female.
