Well guys, an unofficial Playstation Emulator for the Sony PSP is here: Source: http://www.dcemu.co.uk/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=43998
I see that it requires a PC save to get past the intro video, but does it not get past other video's in the game? How well does it run FF7 anyway? sound? saving work?
Is this a legit ps1 emu or another source rip with no source or information on where it came from? --beh dummy me, says so right there.
I've heard there's no sound support at this time. Hopefully it will improve drastically. Still it looks like a good start.
OK, if you set the CPU to around 800 - 900% (emulated PSOne CPU speed, not overclocking PSP) Final Fantasy VII works full speed, although no sound. Might be worth playing as long as it doesn't crash at a later video.
You do realise there's been 3 before this, although they were very slow. This one looks pretty nice though
Wow, I didn't know you needed a PS3 to use a PS1 Emu for a PSP. Thats a bit of a slap in the face to all the PSP owners who have put up with a total lack of decent support for the handheld when compared to the DS? Anyway I can't wait for a decent build of this emu to come out, trust the community to get things done right
What do you mean? Like there's so many good games for the DS? And lots of innovative use of the touch-screen? :crying:And i cant say support has been stellar either, charging $40 for a crap webbrowser for example. At least for the PSP that one has been free, eventhough its crap too but at least its free crap The DS to me is a drama, i think theres like 3 or 4 games on that thing that i actually think are worth getting.
for me the DS , being able to play GBA games, is as good and better than a GBA. Innovation or not, its fun. PSP's short battery life and load times, piss me off. Its big screen needs constant caution not to harm too, which is a pain in the ass. That said, I might get a PSP (almost new) for a bargain price soon enough. I don't know if there are any games worth it to play on it (i dont intend to hack it just yet either)
Battery life, the game of russian roullete that was getting a dead pixel free screen and being forced into buying a media format I would have no other use for top my list. Now if the PSP was sub $100 it wouldn't be too shabby.
