I found a PS2 CEFC DualShock 2 controller PROTOTYPE/PICTURES ADDED Hey Guys, I found at a thrift store a black PS2 DualShock 2 controller. But the funny thing is that there is no Sony Logo on the front and the back has a grey sticker that says CE FC Made in China. The outer casing is almost the same as the regular Dual Shock 2 controller with the exception of more screws on the back of the prototype. The lettering on the front is a little smaller on the prototype as well. It even has Dual Shock 2 in blue on the top. Too bad one of the analog sticks is broken.
CE: https://www.idp.net/sysinfo/standardsand.asp#5 FCC: https://www.idp.net/sysinfo/standardsand.asp#2 And yes it looks like a Chinese clone. Open it up and look the insides. It's broken anyway (look the right thumb stick).
No in that case CE stand for "Cina Export", it's a known problem here that causes only miscomprension.
pretty sure its a clone PS2 controller which can be found on alibaba or ebay, else you can prove otherwise by taking pictures of the internals.
that's just a crappy clone and the spacing in the "china export" logo is deliberately large to mistake it for the EU logo
That "China Export" thing is a BIG PILE OF BULL SHIT. That's what I am seeing here... lol (no offence to you, just what I think about these crappy things coming from China)
I am trying to unscrew this, only got 2 out. The other ones are very difficult to take out and I might need a longer screwdriver so unfortunately I will not be able to take this apart today.
Assembler, you are too funny. In the end I snapped a piece of the plastic because the screws were not coming out at all(no loss here). Anyways here are the pictures.
Well you see how much of a markup sony makes $$ off their controllers. Chinese one is made for probably $1.00 total cost
