I've run into a conundrum. There are 2 PS2's I can easily buy, but both are equally interesting. 1- PS2 Ceramic white edition, fat console "Racing Pack" $100 2- PS2 Pearl white w/ stand and box. Box says "Pearl White" near the top. $299 The only thing that's keeping me from buying the latter is the price. I'm not sure which one is an Automobile edition, or if any are an Automobile edition. IIRC there is a white one in the 5 colours.
Ceramic white is a good price. These are common ps2's in Japan I think released from SCPH-39000 to SCPH-55000 (though not really sure), snow white I think is a little less common, it was part of the spring collection I think. Neither of these are part of the automobile collection. Ceramic white is same texture as common black ps2's, its a matte white finish, Pearl white ps2 is glossy and actually is pearl colored so not quite *as* white. Automobile white also plain white, but glossy, so its like neither of the aforementioned. Someone should correct me if I'm wrong.
Gee, great. The expensive one is rare, while the cheap one is not. I was hoping for the flip side. I'll wait for the pearl white price to go down. I may buy the ceramic for kicks, but 300 for the pearl white is too much for me.
The Ceramic White I believe came with Gran Turismo 4 Prologue (in Korea) , and I don't remember the Pearl White PS2.
