Hi! I just bought a PS2 Debug DTL-30002 S i cannot get any video signal on TV or monitor... , also no audio. I tried 2 different RCA cables and also 2 other TV's but nothing... no signal. The only thing the PS2 does is that the green and blue LEDS go on , other than that nothing. Anybody that can help me?
YPBPR/RGB What cable are you using? and have you ever had a picture from this console before? If not it may be set to ypbpr(component) in the video settings, and if you are trying a normal scart or PAL rf cable then no picture will show..
Hi! No this is the first time i tried the console. I am using a standard RCA cable , i tried with or without the scart extension , no picture. I did not try component yet because i do not have such cable , that could be the problem .
Its possible. If your PS2 has been set to YPBPR in the video settings, then it won't show a picture if you connect it with anything else. The standard PAL RCA cable with or without the scart block extension is composite only, not component (YPBPR). On the other hand it may be damaged and simply not work.. Sorry..
It's most likely faulty, if he really used RCA (The yellow, red and white cables). Just anything could be the cause, from a bridged connection to just a cracked solder joint anywhere on the whole board. The RGB/YPbPr setting does not matter when RCA is used. In fact, something will be shown over composite, even if the incorrect colour setting was used.
Nice catch, you are right. Its the other way round i get caught with. Booting on a HDTV with YPbPr cable and RGB selected in the menu = blank screen.
....Sooo , you guys are saying that my PS2 Debug is broken? , it was almost new and mint in box and sealed plastic bags etc... and the motherboard is already broken?? Paid a lot for this ...
All of my SCPH-10000 and SCPH-15000 consoles came in nice boxes, but they were already used (and other than the SCPH-15000, all had very worn lasers). All were super-clean though. The first SCPH-10000 that I had, did have early signs of failure after purchase; it would randomly freeze up. How about the warranty seal? Is it intact or has it been VOID'ed? Finally, remove all memory cards from the console. FMCB will cause a debugstation like yours (which does not support MagicGate decryption) to hang.
:/ Sorry to say, but it's likely to be a defective unit. If it wasn't originally DOA, it was damaged by something (e.g. during shipping, or maybe somebody dropped it). I hope that you didn't pay too much for it. If it was advertised as a working set, maybe you could still make a claim.
