Hi guys, For some time I have problems with the DVD of my ps2. Today I opened the console and after some testing it seems that the problem is the plastic laser arm, which folds easily. So time to change the arm but, has anyone tried to change it to one of the metal arms that are on ebay? Or better to stay with a plastic replacement and a little of grase? Thank you, Alberto
I didn't test it but I believe the metallic arm works on consoles which had the plastic arm. Plastic arm won't fit on consoles mechanisms that should have the metallic arm though.
Well, I ordered both types of arm. I will check if the metal one is compatible. Thanks for your reply, Alberto.
