I'm using Codewarrior for PS2. Is this the ideal program to use and build inside? Also, what do people tend to use for audio - do you use your own soundbank and generally compose MIDI files and then convert them? And what do people think of Lightwave or 3DSMax for 3d modelling, do they convert well to PS2 format files? cheerz
LightWave and 3D Studio MAX I believe have plugins. I have the PS1 plugins (comes in the PSY-Q SDK). Maya has it built in I think...
I'm still messing about Ya-Basic lol gonna be a while till i'm confident coding properly for the ps2 with tool-chains.
Here's the official website: http://www.artdink.co.jp/japanese/title/bs/index.html A useful list of all the commands can be found at http://homepage1.nifty.com/wakufactory/ezb/
Does it have a language mode selector? otherwise am I gonna have to manually translate the whole program before I even start with it.
The manuals and the tools are in japanese, it only takes time to figure out the different menus if you can't read japanese.
There's a Japanese-only PS2 dev studio in the form of what a retail game would look like. I have no idea how indepth it is, but isn't the Linux kit, it's consumer-oriented set of programming tools, could be relatively powerful though. Forgot the name, anyone remember it?
