PS2 Emulation On PS4

I think it's more a case of not wanting a repeat of what happened with the PS3.

What happened to PS3 was awesome. I really hope it happens to PS4.

 

Do you have any idea what SCE did? Do you know who graf_chokolo is? No it was not "awesome".
I get that you are talking about CFW and that's fine I have no problem with that but that is not what I am referring to.

 

I up this topic with some interesting stuff.

Actually the PS2 emulator itself seems the same for all games, and runs an LUA interpreter for various PS4 related functions such as trophies implementation, force widescreen & 60hz, hot workarounds to fix original game's bugs...

It loads a basic PS2 DVD ISO file, and it is customized with a text file, here an example from Siren:

I don't really know what is the .crack file. It is a binary. It seems related to a DVD drive emulator, or something like that.

The funny part is the trophy lua script.
It seems to check the memory at each frame, and unlock trophy if the imagined condition is correct.

Sorry for revive bump, but this is more interesting now than before. I see the config data for siren, are there any more examples of this around? Can anyone with files(config-emu-ps4.txt, XXXX-YYYYY_config.lua, etc) from a PSN released PS2 game be willing to share for research sake?
