I'm looking for info on local LAN games for PS2. So that's 2 tv's, 2 PS2's connected via LAN and 2x the same game disc (like Gamecube Mario Kart Double Dash via broadband adapter). Does anyone have a list of such games? I once checked some FIFA Soccer and Pro Evolution Soccer games, but they didn't seem to have it (though I read some info online which seem to indicate some versions had it...) And I think I read Star Wars Battlefront has it. Info I can find seems to be specific for online play: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_PlayStation_2_online_games http://playstation2.onlineconsoles.com/phpBB2/content_gameslist.php I don't know if that LAN section at the bottom of the wiki page is accurate. That's a really big list (though not many games I'm interested in). Any people with experiences?
I have found more info here http://www.ps2onlinegaming.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=30 But all the games listed here aren't local LAN only.
Care to elaborate? I already posted that link, but I don't read anywhere if those games have a local LAN option (I assume it's online games via LAN adapter).
Yes I see. But one should not always believe what Wiki says, right? So I am asking for verification or at least for people who have personal experience with PS2 local LAN gaming.
Cool! And the the amount of players is also accurate (for local offline LAN)? So really no football (soccer) games that have LAN functionality? In theory you can make a LAN of 32 Playstation 2's with 32 tv's and 32 copies of SOCOM 3 and play with 32 people? As a sidenote, I just tested Pro Evolution Soccer with 2 multitaps and 8 controllers. Indeed that works as well ;D That's 1 more player in comparison to the PS3! Or actually 2, since I never got it working with 7 controllers...
isn't there a way to tunnel lan via wan? so that you can play the aforementioned socom in lan mode but online?
