Hey guys, my launch SCPH-10000 has died again, I had replaced the motherboard with one that had previously had a modchip install and subsequent removal prior to my purchase of it, and although there was some superficial damage to some components it functioned fine, but now it refuses to boot, dead.. defunct..

    So I'm after a fully working GH-001 SCPH-10000 motherboard please, I will consider a 15000 or 18000 version, but prefer a 10000. I'm based in the U.K.. thanks.

Any reason as to why you use a 10000 still? If anything I’d put the 10000 up for display somewhere and purchase a 50000 JP PS2. Also in the U.K., I’d heavily consider getting a TEST PS2. You will have an extremely hard time finding 10000 motherboards from members here since there’s a huge US/EU/UK member base here, and not really JP. Maybe @Yakumo could help but I doubt it. There’s much better options out there for what you want and you won’t have to keep having a dying unit because it’s the launch model.

Yeh, your right. I have several other ps2's and am currently using my 50003 while my 10000 is out of action. In answer to your question, I just love the launch model ps2, and have/had it set up with a SSD, and Linux for years now, I already replaced the motherboard once, in 2012/13 I think. I get a real kick out of using it as my main console under the tv :).. I'll probably have to import a junker from Japan and raid it for the MB. Thanks.

Edited for PS2 Model correction 50003 not 50000 (Sorry SP193 and AKuHAK)

Ah awesome! Nice to see you using that 10000 with the PC Card slot and everything. Thankfully the early models are pretty easy to track down in Japan. I’ve personally had good experience with the FromJapan proxy for shopping on Yahoo Japan Auctions. They ship globally and don’t charge too much. Might be worth it for picking up a cheap early model.

Sorry I am new to this. But BTW I also have a SCPH-10000. I found it on eBay for 20$ and owner said it was defective. But when I tested it, it did play a disc. I'm so happy that I got to have it. Well sadly right when I was about to Assemble back my SCPH-30001 I checked to make sure it was still working as soon as I flicked the power switch, boom sparks flew out of the power supply and I blew the fuse. It was the early north American launch unit. I checked the board and it said GH-006. Well now the board is resting in my drawer and soon when time comes, I will hunt down on many PS2 revisions. I did this before but unfortunately, they had to go

Update: I managed to find a SCPH-18000 junker on eBay for now, I'll use it to keep me going till i find a 10000 MB. So I'm still after a 10000 if anyone has one. Thanks guys..

Update: I have found a 10000 junker also from eBay for a reasonable price, so no longer require a motherboard any more. Thanks guys..
