hi guys just curious if it can be done
making ps2 online games to lan game for example timesplitter future perfect lan and online mode both support 8 player
i never connect the game online but i think the gui are the same like when you connect it lan (somebody should confirmed this) and some ps2 game dont need you to login to server so that mean they dont store username or password on server right .

so is it possible to make it happen if the dnas of the game stripped (like coldbird.net have did with hack fragment) and redirect the online server of the game to a router like when you play lan.maybe some game like some EA ps2 game that dont have lan mode but online server have been terminated can be played again online with lan tunelling

sorry for bad english . english is not my native language

well maybe by modding the game and setting server ip to local ip tho you will proly need server files

If game has a LAN mode you can use tunneling software to play through internet.

If the game needs a server then you need to reverse engineer the protocol and re-implement it. A lot of games only use the server to introduce users to each other & the game then runs peer to peer, so the protocol may be quite simple. Mario Kart Wii server has already been recreated for instance.
