PS2, PS1 Dualshock 3 Bluetooth mod

Would it be possible to mod a ds3 controller to work with a ps1 or ps2? Would it be possible to have an ir controller soldered onto the ds3 so that when the ps button is pressed, it can turn off/ reset the ps2. The newer version of the ps2 ir remote has a code to reset the it controlled ps2s
