Since my thread must have been deleted while the forum was changing, i thought i would ask again! Well since i am a complete noob on ps tools i want to know if there is a way to backup my devs hdds without theirs sdks and through ftp if possible! I want to backup their data and if there are any games in them. I am interested in ps2 tools and their external hard disks and ps3 debugs. Thanks for any responds... ;-)
I replied on that thread you don't need to worry about the DTL-H20400 as it's extremely likely to be empty, even. The DTL-T10000 is a completely different case and backuping it's HDD(s) is a pretty wise thing to do. I know absolutely nothing about PS3 DEV hardware. But then I have the impression it's easy to recover from a HDD crash on the PS3 TEST units at least.
Well for the PS3 you'd need the SDK tools AFAIK. At least I don't know any way to access anything on the HDD without them. Then again, there's nothing really critical on a debug PS3's HDD. The firmware is in the flash, only userdata is on the HDD:
I want to backup two DTL-T10000H that i have and to check if they even have anything inside. But how do i do that?? For the PS3 i want to play around with some data that it seems to have but dont run anything and i dont have a clue how to run anything in those machines... The ps3 sdk is very difficult to find...
