I would like if anyone has (or a link to a website) the wiring diagram for a psx/ps2 controller (no need for dualshock)...

I would like to start a mini project of turning a cheap standalone DDR game (the ones you plug directly on the TV) into a PS2 DDR dance mat.

I would like whick pin do what (buttons etc...)

Don't tell me it's an idiot project, I already know...:banghead: Just wanna do it for fun. I'm not very good in electronics and soldering  , I would like to improve myself.

PSX/PS2 encode many signals and it would require you have a decoder. The easiest thing to do is sacrifice some cheap 3rd party controller that's easy to solder wires on. I've done that to make arcade sticks work on PSX.

    Word.

Playstation controllers aren't that simple. There isn't a wire for each switch in the controller...meaning you just can't slap a playstation cord on anyting.

Like Mottzilla said, your best solution is taking something cheap and soldering the the pads for the individual buttons in it.

I was pretty sure that it was encoded. Turns out I have and old 3rd party psx controller that I don't mind sacrificing.
