PS2 Slim only works with PS1 games!

Hi guys! \o/

I opened my ps2 slim to do a cleanup, and after that I locked it now only reads ps1 games.

Specifications:
PlayStation 2 Slim - SPCH 77006 - Ntsc - J
Chip Matrix Infinity 1.93
Note: All games works normaly before that, backups and originals.

Internal Fan - Ok
Lubrification - Ok
Console Cover - Ok (The problem occurs with it open or closed)
Flats - ??? (My biggest suspects)
Lens - Clean

Additional information:
When it tries to read a DVD disc does not rotate immediately, the drive tries to spin a few times without success, unlike the PS1 CDs, turning normally and work perfectly.

I don't think it's a complicated problem and with your help I can fix, thanks all.

 

can you try a ps2 cd game?

Yeah, i tested "Metal Gear Skater" in my PS2 (backup CD), and works perfectly.

I did other tests, I replaced the mainboard and the two engines, but nothing changed.
will the flat of the lens? or actually the lens is dead?
why a lens would be dead only for DVDs?

 

You can try play with the dvd diode pot before the lens die forever

or get a replacemtn laser, or try tweaking it?

 

Messing with it is isn't going to help unless you know what you're doing.

 

couyld be a mod chip wire lose or dry jonit if you replace the laser and still does the same then its the dvd drive control chip.
