    Hi,

    i got a PS2 slim DTL-H75000 unit with a strange heat problem.
On cold start the unit dont boot disc games, the controller have also no function. After a couple of minutes unit running, anything work fine.
Also on cold startup, when i push on the left side, where the cooler unit is the console work, when i release the push system stop, push again work..
I open the unit and try something on the srews, but not really help.
Is this a normal heat problem from the PS2 "SLIM" ?
Any solutions? reflow? Its a really lovely unit, want to fix it.
Sound like a cold solder points or something like that.

    regards
    Chris

It is definiately cold solder joints. I dont know if its normal, but a reflow would fix it. A hot air station would be fine. I dont recommend using an oven.
