    Hey guys,

I have read through many threads about Losers Master Disc Patcher to patch games to work on the PS2 Test Debug station.

I have a Beta build of a game and I do this:

    Open DiscPatcher
    Select the Image File
    Check the Master Disc checkbox
Type in the EXE name (SLES_ etc)
    Click Patch

It says patching successful, I put it in and it shows a disc, boots and shows the Playstation 2 logo, then stays black and doesn't run.

It's a PAL game and I have also tried patching it to NTSC.

The PS2 Test has a 240v power plug, but it says NTSC on it. The Beta build is a PAL game.

Any ideas would be great thanks!

If you have a TEST ps2, region wouldn't matter, and it should output pal.
If you have no sound, it sounds like it either is corrupted, or needs a dongle

Check for sound. Video standard shouldn't matter with that.

You're patching it wrong if it doesn't boot. In the system.cnf file find the SLUS/SCUS/SCES name and number, patch it to that exactly, and it should work.

If your image is NOT duff, when you load it the patcher software will automatically select the correct options for the game (e.g PAL, PS2, DVD). If it doesn't the image is bad.
