I've just received a PS2 Test, DTL-H50001 and want to use it in the UK.

Can someone point me in the direction of a stepdown suitable for the PS2.

    Cheers.

If the seal is broken, just get a 220v power board off ebay?

I was thinking the exact same thing. How hard are they to swap out?

Open it up, 8-10 screws, pull bottom off and look. It will be there on the bottom, or under a cage.

PS2s with 10 screws have the power supply at the "top" of the system, so you will have to remove the top cover to access it, not the bottom. 8 screw consoles have it mounted at the bottom, but since they made the 8 screw consoles harder to open up you will have to remove the top cover and remove some screws holding components down before the bottom cover will come off; be very careful about the controller port ribbon in these models, since it will be dangling once you remove the screws holding it in place. Try to carefully lift the hardware out of the shell and resist the urge to turn it upside down, since this is when the ribbon cable strain becomes an issue.

10 screw consoles don't have this issue since the case is assembled somewhat like a sandwich, that is to say in three separate sections; the lower part of the shell, the middle part and the upper lid, as opposed to the 8 screw consoles that have only a top and a bottom. You cannot simply pull off the bottom as you could with a ten screw system, with separate middle sction and bottom; they are "sealed" together into one piece in the 8 screw consoles.
