Whats the history of the console, has it been repaired?

I must admit i dont know what PS3's usually go for, however it appears cheap to me? Not that i'm complaining, it appears like a good buy to me. I would just like to know a bit more.

Snap, there appears to be £30 odd worth of DLC. Even without a pad Cash Converters would probably offer more.

Firstly i have over 103 Positive feedback on arcadeotaku. i ask for pp gift because of the fees, so other option is you can pay via paypal and add the 4% fee.

Why so cheap? because it didnt stand me at much money, and you will still need to buy a controller for it, and an original game if you want to use its backup capability

History is yes its a repair, replacement bluray drive and bricked logic board, and now it has a new logicboard and laser

If you want to pay by pp and add fees and avoid gift, that is totally fine by me.

The psn games run on the 3.55CFW so if u take this machine online and update the FW to 3.60 or .61 or i think they are doing .65 now, all the hombrew and psn stuff on it will no longer work.

@insane , mate if your in yorkshire you are welcome to come collect it as i am in Leeds

Hope this answers some questions for you all

    Tony

Seems to me that the PSN stuff you have on it is pirated, not paid for what so ever. I don't think this is allowed here.

he told me he has the machine.

He is in Scotland at the moment

Kiff came over today and picked up a machine, so you can always ask him.

Yes i received the PS3, I was in Scotland last week, however i believe it arrived on the Tuesday.

I set the PS3 up on Saturday, played a game and it worked fine. However the Blu-ray drive packed up after that.

Tony has been really good about it, he offered to refund me or fix the PS3, at the moment i'm just arranging to send it back to him so he can replace the laser on the Blu-ray drive. He also offerd to loan me a game to see if the one i had was dodgy, however I got another and it would not read that either.

I would definitely trust him anyway, he's always been very honest and i am confident that i will soon have a working PS3.

I was thinking that myself. Even if the drive is irreparable, for the money you've spent you could just use it as a media player and as it's running CF/W just fill the HDD with PlayStation Network titles.

yes, can i also say Kiff came for his machine over the weekend, and witnessed it running and loading, and went home quite satisfied.

As for insane its just unfortunate, as it left here with a working drive, and worked for him initially, and then the laser failed, unfortunately these machines dont seen to be built as well as the trusty old consoles of the day, like my 20year old ps1!

And here's an image for your failed trolling attempt

Just thought I would update this thread, I got the PS3 back last week from Tony, the drive now reads discs fine and I have been testing the PS3 out playing various games over the last weekend.

He has always been helpful and replied to any PM's I sent on here pretty fast, I would like to think I can tell when someone is been genuine and would defiantly buy from Tony again. He didnt have to fix the PS3, however went out of his way to ensure I was happy with it.
