PS3 - BD disc oxidized

    By the way it looks,I don't think that's oxide.It looks more like some kind of dry glue.(kinda like hotglue,but very small)
    As long as it doesn't extend to the rest of the surface,you shouldn't worry.

    yup " moisture and mold " before clean...anyway : thanks! :D

    and what is oxide ?..i have one ps2 game...after 1 year..layer become blank.. it's oxide ? (sr for my bad E)

    Is Oxidizing got anything to do with white powder on discs? I bought a few gamecube games not long ago and all of them had weird white powder on the top.

    I don't think so.Does it go off if you wash the discs with water?

    I have heard of Blu-Ray discs getting mold and it was a Star Wars related stories.. WTF was up with all that jazz about them being more durable than DVDs and than this?

    They said that CDs are more durable than RTR tapes, in reality it's quite opposite. Same for Blu-Ray. It's not only something like this disc rot case, with such high recording density BR disc can just silently die in a few years.

    Is this a disc that has been polished?

    That looks really bad. Disc rot.

    probably disc rot, i had 2 blue rays die on me
