PS3 Case/ Mother Board Compatibility?

Now that Resident Evil Outbreak is back online I would like to purchase a White PS3 Japanese PS3 since only the NTSC-J version is network playable.

the only problem is that there are no stock white PS3s that have backwards PS2 compatibility. (at least none that I know of)

I was wondering if there was a way to hard mod a motherboard into a CECHH-00 Case.

I do not know the size of the motherboards or the case.

These are the two motherboards with software EMU of PS2 games and look to be the closest in size to the CECHH-00

Could I hard mod a CECHA-00 mobo into a CECHH-00 Case?

The only other option is to get a local paint shop to color match the PS3, but I will have to worry about all the decals (HDD, Wifi, HDMI, Bluray stuff on the side)

The CECHA/C/E and the CECHH has different ports layout in the back. IIRC, ports on the CECHH are far away from the Power switch whereas they are right next to the switch in the A,C,and E.

I would be very interested how the result turns out. I always love the white FAT PS3 for some reasons.

 

oh, I forgot to ask which top portions of the PS3 Fat line are cross compatible : IE: since the CECHA-CECHE all have flash card doors I'm assuming you can take the top part of any system and mount it to any of those models.

I'm asking case compatibility for all the fat models. thanks!
